I'm working on designing a Tarot deck. This has been a "back-burner" project of mine for nearly 2 decades; now I feel I've considered and refined it enough to start actual work on it.
People can get involved by suggesting favorite cards for me with which to work, favorite interpretations or stories behind their favorite cards for me to consider, or by suggesting which cards they would like to see fully developed first.
At the moment I have the basic meanings for all the cards, and a rough mock up of the designs. Anything to hold my motivation and arouse my creativity is most appreciated.
The Star Card is my favorite. I see this as a card of dreams, aspiration, and inspiration. It's about aiming for what you really want, your true calling in life, even if it seems out of reach or impractical. Reach for the stars!
Thanks. I've got the 'personality' of all the cards; now I need to go through and add the quirks and nuances. I'll start with The Star, and add regular updates of the meaning, HOPEFULLY finishing with the final design of the actual card.
Yule creativity and preparations are going to get in the way of that, though, so don't start holding your breath just yet!
Torn World (http://www.tornworld.net/index.php) is plugging along nicely. Last month I finished coding the scripts to track and manage and spend credits (http://www.tornworld.net/credits.php) and karma (http://www.tornworld.net/karma.php). I've also added a feed from our torn_world community.
We've started character creation, just barely, and the landmark contest has just ended (results will be posted on Nov 15). Our next contest is to design a holiday, and our guest judge is CE Murphy.

Re: Yay!
Always helps to have a captive audience to encourage, critique, and motivate :)
