This month's theme was "family gatherings."  I worked from 12:15 PM to 5 AM on Tuesday, so about 14 hours 45 minutes allowing for breaks.  I wrote 11 poems that day and another 10 later.  They ran long, with a lot of epics.

Many of the prompts focused on serial poetry, which often winds up longer than stand-alones.  Ideally, I'd like to see a combination of serial and unrelated prompts, because that makes it easier to mix and match prompts from different people, as well as a wider range of lengths.  So if you can give me a variety of prompts, that helps.  If all you can think of, or all you want, are series prompts (or unrelated prompts) then that's okay; just give me what you've got.

We had plenty of participation.  There were 46 comments on LiveJournal and another 21 on Dreamwidth.  A total of 19 people sent prompts.  Please welcome new prompters Trevor Edwards, [personal profile] sylvaine, and [personal profile] fyreharper.  You have them to thank for the second freebie.

Buy some poetry!
If you plan to sponsor some poetry but haven't made up your mind yet, read the list of unsold poems from November. That includes the title, length, price, and the original thumbnail description for the poems still available.

The currently sponsored poems have been sponsored.  Prompter copies have been sent out for the rest.  Per the $200 goal, "If You Want to Make Peace" is the free epic.  Per the $250 goal, that's two tallies toward a mid-month fishbowl.  Per the $300 goal, there will be a half-price sale in Fledgling Grace from November 18-24.  The donor perk-post is "Gathering Family."

Donors this month included: Stephen Laird, LJ user baaing_tree, [personal profile] janetmiles, [personal profile] technoshaman, [personal profile] mdlbear, Anthony & Shirley Barrette, and [personal profile] alexseanchai.

The Poetry Fishbowl project also has a permanent landing page.

The bonus Poetry Fishbowl featuring Hart's Farm is now open in my LiveJournal. (This is historic fantasy set in Sweden circa 1850, featuring rural family life, community, and diverse sexualities. You can read the other poems in this series on my Serial Poetry page.)  Come give me prompts, talk with other audience members, and watch for the poems to start appearing.

I'm going to do a bonus poetry fishbowl on Tuesday, June 19, 2012.  The featured series is Hart's Farm, a historic fantasy series set on a farm in Sweden, with a focus on community life and a wide diversity of sexual preferences.  (The current period corresponds to something like 1850-1920).  You can read the poems via the Serial Poetry page.

I'll be soliciting ideas for any previous Hart's Farm characters you'd like to see again, new people on Hart's Farm, neighbors and villagers, alternative sexuality/gender identity, family history, family dynamics, everyday tools, objects associated with Swedish or Irish culture, challenges based on gender or sexuality, interpersonal problem-solving, milestones of life, side scenes from previous events, life in community, farming, Hart's Farm buildings, local fields and forest and waterfront, linguistic tidbits (Swedish, Norwegian, Irish, English), oral tradition, Swedish or Irish folklore, local cuisine and culture, nonsexual intimacies, and poetic forms in particular.

If you're interested, mark the date on your calendar, and please hold actual prompts until the "Poetry Fishbowl Open" post next week.  This fishbowl is open to everyone, and you may share the announcement with anyone interested in the motifs that Hart's Farm incorporates.
