Voting has been moved to a private poll!
Feb. 1st, 2011 06:49 pmI have just discovered that the default poll settings allow anyone to see which nominee you cast your vote for. I use the same settings as Yasbet did, as she originated the awards and I wanted this poll to be the same as the others. However, I am a firm believer in anonymous voting. I am making a new poll, and will contact those who have voted, to give them a chance to vote again, however they choose, in the new poll.
The new poll is here: http://community.livejournal.com/crowdfunding/259183.html

To be honest, these awards don't have much meaning until there's a more open way of nominating and voting (and by that I mean not locked to LJ). The internet is full of solutions to a lot of these problems, it just takes a little research.

Date: 2011-02-02 03:10 am (UTC)Unfortunately, I used the same poll settings as the first post, and have just found out that the show the poll results to EVERYONE. That's not right, and I have no idea why those settings would be used. I don't know much about LJ polling, and missed that the default setting is detailed results viewable to everyone. Weblit is a small community - I do not think anyone wants their votes to be viewable to everyone.
I may well have to restart this poll. I am concerned that the existing votes will be lost. Yasbet is not online, and I am not sure what to do.
