The music isn't slow, or cerebral, or religious, which is often a multi-intersecting commonality with the earlier signed music I'd seen.
Well, he is a rapper, first and foremost. And, second, a lot of signed "music" (at least, the stuff that put out for consumption by Hearing culture -- not what Deaf people create for themselves), is created within a warped sense of charity -- that those "Poor deaf people must be so deprived, since they can't enjoy our beautiful music -- so we'll give it to them." Bleurgh!
