Truth... but many do, and the vast majority of them as do drive cars do so with a clutch.
The other thing is... you can get a Class A (motorbike) licence in Europe *without knowing the first thing about cars*. Here, you have to drive a car *first*... THEN add the bike as an *endorsement*.

How are you with a bicycle? My old instructor said, if you can ride a bicycle, he can teach you to ride a motorcycle. Shifting and all. And it's *fabulous*. It's got a Zen to it, like writing or shooting or doing art... I highly recommend it to anyone who has the basic balance and isn't scared off by the whole idea.
